Is your business invisible to ChatGPT? Try this

Run this test before you write another word of marketing copy.

Open ChatGPT, Claude, or Google's AI Overview and ask three questions about your own business, in your own words: • Who's the best [your service] in [your city]? • What should I look for when choosing a [your service] provider? • [Your business] vs [your main competitor], who's better for [specific need]?

If your name shows up, note what the AI actually says about you. If it doesn't, that's not a search ranking problem.

It means there's nothing published, anywhere, specific enough for the model to point to when someone asks that exact question. The fix isn't a better meta description.

It's one piece of content, in your own voice, that directly answers that exact question with the kind of detail only you could write. Not a services page.

An answer. Run all three prompts, and you'll probably find you're strong on one, missing on another, and generic on the third.

That's your priority list, not a guess.
